Educating physicians, the medical community and students at the Caribbean Association for Oncology & Haematology meeting in Cartagena, Colombia about CyberKnife technology with CyberKnife Miami’s Patient Navigator Elizabeth Paucar Harris.

CyberKnife Miami partnered with CAOH for this international medical education event to bring awareness of this cutting-edge technology to the physicians caring for cancer patients in the Caribbean, South America and Central America.

CyberKnife Radiosurgery, also known as SRS and SBRT is not available in much of South America, Central America or the Caribbean however, it’s important for everyone to know, the CyberKnife Center of Miami is a free standing facility, in which anyone from anywhere can come to be treated.

CyberKnife Radiation Therapy is often a great option for treating prostate cancer and many other types of tumors throughout the body are treated with 1-to-5 treatments compared to other types of radiation which require many more.

Nerve disorders like Trigeminal Neuralgia is treated with only 1 treatment session.

The conference was a great success and doctors, including oncologists, surgeons and radiation oncologists in the Caribbean, Central America and South America are very interested in providing CyberKnife therapy to their patients.

The patron for the CAOH event was the1st Lady of Trinidad, Mrs. Sharon Rowley, wife of Prime Minister Keith Rowley.
