When Ruth Peberdy’s husband Ron was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer they came all the way from South West England to the CyberKnife Center of Miami for treatment because the technology wasn’t available in their area.
Since then, Ruth has been fighting for 10 years to make it available to British patients and she has succeeded, all through public donations. But that hardest part was fighting the bureaucracy.
