Former President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, recently gave BBC Newsnight an update on his father’s prostate cancer.
“The cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further,” Hunter told the British Broadcaster in early August. “It’s very painful and it’s very debilitating in many respects.”
Former President Biden, 83, was first diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in May of 2025 after doctors found a small nodule in his prostate. At the time, his office said the cancer had metastasized to the bone.
“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management,” the statement from his office read.
“It’s really sad to watch,” Hunter Biden told the BBC. “The only thing I’d say about my dad, about his health right now, is I wish he would complain more, because it’s not good.”
